This mountain range is characterized by unique climatic conditions, which makes Zakopane a great place for anyone who wants to explore the mountains and their flora. The peaks in Zakopane are also stunning: with great views of the city and the surrounding lakes, they certainly deserve to be climbed. Here are six peaks worth climbing if you're in Zakopane.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Giewont<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Giewont is a narrow peak with a height of 1894 meters. You can climb it from both the north and south side. The southern route is longer, but more accessible for hikers. The northern approach is slightly more suitable for those more familiar with mountain hiking. The view from the top is breathtaking. Giewont is a mountain associated with Zakopane and is its main characteristic feature. It also has a distinctive shape. Another name Giewont is a sleeping knight. At the top of Great Giewont is a 15-meter cross, which stands here since 1901. The climb to the top leads to the buckles, so not everyone dares to go there. However, if you are not afraid of challenges, you cannot miss it. In summer, the number of tourists wanting to climb the peak is so high that even traffic jams form and you have to wait before you can reach it.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Kasprowy Wierch<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kasprowy Wierch is a peak with a height of 1987 meters. It is a popular place among climbers and winter sports enthusiasts. The peak is a very popular place, so it is worth coming there early in the morning. There are many trails leading to the top. On Kasprowy Wierch you can also go by train, so it's quite a convenience. From Kasprowy Wierch we will get to Giewont or \u015awinica. Due to the fact that here goes the queue, it can be really crowded.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Rysy<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rysy is a popular destination for climbers, winter sports enthusiasts and nature lovers. These mountains have three peaks. The highest point is 2501 m.a.s.l. Conquering Rysy can be difficult for novice climbers. It is a difficult mountain, requiring proper equipment and preparation. To climb Rysy you will need ice-checks and ropes. The mountain lies on the Polish-Slovakian border. Rysy is the highest mountain in Poland, therefore every year there are numerous daredevils who want to reach the roof of Poland. There are about 300 m of ropes and chains on the route, which make the ascent easier.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Guba\u0142\u00f3wka<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The summit can be reached by a gentle climb or by a cable car. The mountain is not big, so you can try your best to climb it. While walking to the top, do not forget to turn around to admire the beautiful panorama of the Tatra Mountains. The views are certainly worth the effort. The cable car to the top leaves every 10 minutes. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket office at the station or online. At the top of Guba\u0142\u00f3wka there are numerous stalls and restaurants. In winter it is a real paradise for skiers, because there are several ski lifts. At the top there is a magnificent view of the entire Tatra Mountains and Zakopane, which can not be missed (it is worth going there on a sunny or cloudless day).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Monk<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This majestic peak is 2068 meters above sea level. It owes its name to its appearance, which is similar to a monk in a hood. The monk can also be admired from above Morskie Oko Lake. The ascent is very difficult and intended only for advanced climbers. It requires ropes, axes and a lot of knowledge. Mnich consists of 3 ascents called - Mnich, Mniszek, Ministrant.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Nosal<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nosal is mainly associated with a large and wide ski lift. The climb to Nosal is not difficult and leads through a forest. The path to the top is suitable even for teenagers. Nosal is 1206 meters above sea level. The Nosal peak is completely covered with forest.
